Press release - Shared Private Cloud solution with maximum control and security

Düsseldorf, 30th January 2020. The myLoc managed IT AG extends its successfully implemented private cloud portfolio by a shared private cloud solution for companies. The new shared private cloud, which was developed in cooperation with Virtuozzo, offers companies a high degree of security and full control over their data. The advantage of the myLoc Private Cloud is that the cloud adapts to the requirements and needs of the customers and these are not subject to the general restrictions as seen in a public cloud.

The shared private cloud of myLoc managed IT AG is a cheaper alternative to the dedicated private cloud, which has already been successfully implemented with customers. In contrast to the dedicated private cloud solution, the shared private cloud solution does not include the complete cost share of the hardware infrastructure, so that customers can use their own private cloud in the German data centre at low cost. In contrast to the public cloud, the new private cloud solution, despite its great flexibility, offers fixed and predictable monthly costs for companies. Like the Dedicated Private Cloud, this solution also uses OpenStack modules, which enables full OpenStack API compatibility and thus a high degree of automation.

By using hot tier and cold tier storage in the cloud, companies can decide for themselves which data they want to move to the private cloud and where. Important and business-critical information that needs to be accessed frequently is stored on the hot tier storage, so that ongoing operations can be guaranteed. In contrast to the hot tier, the cold tier storage secures data that companies need to access less frequently, but which they must keep for a longer period of time due to legal requirements, for example.

The shared private cloud packages known as VIP Cloud will be hosted exclusively in myLoc's ISO 27001 data centres. The simple web interface of Virtuozzo and the strong scalability with full cost control makes administration much easier for the users. Therefore, companies can concentrate on their core business and can bring in their requirements for cloud applications in direct contact with the provider as required.
