Connections and IP addresses
Connection to our 3570 GBit backbone
The fastest server and the fastest server farm would be nothing without a high-performance connection. Through our redundant 10 Gigabit Rack connection you can access your data directly in one of our core router, from where it immediately continues to our 3570 GBit external connection. Over the many years we have created our own backbone network which offers the highest bandwidth and lowest latency with 3570 GBit.
There is a direct connection to many carriers such as Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, Kabel Deutschland, Unitymedia, Level 3 and Cogent. In addition, we operate our own infrastructure at the national and international exchange points DE-CIX, AMS-IX and ECIX. Through the combination of preparation and own peering, we have created perfect redundancy. This redundancy starts with a double feed to the rack, goes through redundant core routers and leads, over independent building introductions in multiple arranged fibre-optic cables, to the redundant nodes of our upstream carriers and exchange points.
If you are looking for detailed information about the structure of the 3570 GBit backbone from myLoc, you can find it under network in the data centre section.
IP addresses
At any time, you have the opportunity to rent cheap IPv4 addresses and subnets from myLoc monthly. Starting from a single IP address up to a /24 IPv4 subnet, no borders are set here. The prices are valid for colocation products. It is also to be possible to route your own IPv4 networks through our backbone.
In principle, up to 31 additional IPv4 addresses per server can be ordered via the customer panel. If you need further IPv4 addresses and have stating a reason, this limit can be increased by our support team. In addition, it is also possible to order IPv4 networks. In this case you also need some reasons for the increased demand of IPv4 addresses. A reason for raising the limit or applying for a separate network should have the following content:
- Number of required additional IP addresses
- Currently used IP addresses and their current use
- Planned use of the new IP addresses
- Why it is necessary for this purpose technically necessary to use other addresses.
In particular, the intended use is not accepted:
- Search engine fraud
- Spam / Email mass mailing
- Web hosting, which would also be feasible via Vhosts
- Reserving addresses
Please also note that the deployment of IPv4 networks may take up to 5 working days to complete after successful verification.
